Eliza's first month was a whirlwind with finals, a wedding, and road trip. Luckily, we managed to catch some of it on camera. Enjoy!

Introducing Eliza Zoe Clark
With a little more than 68 hours of labor, our little Eliza Zoe Clark arrived! We, of course, love her dearly and think she's the cutest baby ever! She's 6 lbs and 3 ounces and 20 inches long. Here are a few pictures. More to come!

Sneak Preview
9 days overdue! Am I miserable? YES! Especially since my legs have turned into tree trunks and my toes into chicken nuggets. Not to mention that sleeping is getting very uncomfortable. I woke up at 3 this morning and started doing the dishes (I try not let dishes stay in the sink overnight...apparently it bothered me because I couldn't sleep). Perhaps part of the nesting instinct?!?!
Over the last week, I think my phone records have broken a record high as many of my friends are requesting if baby girl has made her appearance yet. Just in case you're wondering, no news is no news. We'll definitely keep you updated when she decides to come out. Thanks for being so excited for us.
I'm also loving people's comments on my belly (please note sarcasm here). Yesterday, the cashier at the grocery store said, "You look like you're about to pop. When's your due date?" I smiled and thought, "I am about to pop you. Thanks for reminding me of how uncomfortable I am!" Logan nicely replied it was last week. To top it off, the cashier said, "I was about to say!"
The good news is that baby girl is healthy (and obviously way too comfortable in my belly) so we'll still wait it out instead of inducing. For the past couple months, I've been getting a ultrasound on a weekly basis. Her facial profile has been impossible to see because she always has her hand in front of her face---just her like daddy always does. But daddy says it's just like me sleeping with a hand on my face. This week, the sonographer used the 3D imaging and here's a sneak preview of baby girl with, of course, her hand in front of her face. Hopefully by next week, we'll have the real deal: a picture of her in my arms instead of one in my belly.

No baby yet!
Some of you called wanting some updates. The countdown is over, but this baby doesn't seem to think so. We'll keep you posted when our little girl arrives.

Joyeux Noel
Merry Christmas! As my Christmas gift to you, you can salivate over the Buche the Noel I made this season. It looks store bought, but it's all baked from scratch (with a dash o' love)! And it tastes as good as it looks! Drool away!

Drum roll please....
Flowy dresses, pretty bows, pink frills come my way! We are having a girl!
How exciting! A little mini-me, but cuter due to Logan's good looking genes!

What I've discovered in Princeton
Princeton! Charming little town, wonderful farms, great local ice cream shops, farmer's market, foliage that turns into a crisp fire-color hues, rich with American History. In other words-a quintessential New England small town NOT located in New England! Logan couldn't have a picked a better place that feels more like Massachusetts for me!
I've discovered so much in this little town, but my most fascinating discovery has been related to--of all things--HAIR! Logan comes home from school with dilapidated hair. It's been pulled and tugged from every direction, and unlike most blond mop tops, gravity doesn't bring it down! It just sticks up in the air! Poor guy's been pulling his hair out doing all those problem sets. I nag him all the time about touching and pulling his hair, but then I realized he's only a product of his society. Princetonians are notorious for bad hair! Want some more proof?
This one shouldn't be a shocker to anyone:
Hey Einstein, how much energy does one person need to pass a comb though his/her hair? I guess, to you, that would be relative. On to my next perpetrator:

Kirk McDonald, Professor of Physics. Dye his hair red, and you got a McDonald of a different brilliant persuasion.
But here's my favorite one:
Cornel West, University Professor in the Center of African American Studies. This is actually a good hair day picture of him. I've seen it far worst. And from the clips I've seen of him on TV, his personality is just as booming as his hair.
And I know there are more of these unruly haired professors, but you know what's worst about this Princeton discovery. It's affecting my unruly HAIR. Who knew that humidity only 300 miles south from Boston would be detrimental to my hair. It feels like no amount of heat, curling irons, chemicals will keep my hair from going super curly. Who knew that I'd need to go back to Boston for good hair days! I thought it was bad enough there! But there has to be hope for me. After all, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Michelle Obama, and President Woodrow Wilson had perfectly coifed hair while at Princeton. I'll let you know when I figure it out.
Until then, you're welcome to visit us in Princeton, just don't bother doing your hair.
